Support Coordinators

 Small Hinges Swing Big Doors!

Last year, 98% of our students passed their learner permit test, a simple rite of passage that so many of them would not have achieved without the support of our program. Rippling forward, this achievement will open doors to employment, social engagement, and independence for all our graduates, all core capabilities that the NDIS exists to support.

Changing Gears has a 14 year history of working with NFP's, charities and community groups, and recently The Brotherhood of St Lawrence wrote us a wonderful unsolicited letter expressing their appreciation for the part our program plays in their Youth Pathways Program.

Read their letter below, it says everything we'd like to say to people in your trusted role.

Dear Nikki & Linda,

In reflecting on the past year, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the invaluable partnership we've been able to share in supporting young individuals through our program, Building Youth Pathways. Your commitment to helping young people achieve their learners permit in 2023 has not only made a significant impact on their lives but has also contributed to the overall success of our program.

Your unwavering support and dedication have been instrumental in creating meaningful pathways for the youth, and we are truly grateful for the positive outcomes we've achieved together. Your organization's involvement has not only empowered young minds but has also played a crucial role in building a brighter future for our community.

As we look ahead to 2024, we are excited about the possibilities that lie before us. With the continued support of partners like Changing Gears we are confident that we can reach new heights and make an even greater difference in the lives of young people. We envision our partnership evolving to new levels, exploring innovative approaches, and creating more opportunities for growth and success.

We look forward to collaborating with you in the coming year, continuing to make a positive impact, and achieving shared goals.

Kind regards,
Jade Applebee

Built for people who need more than a standard course

Most road rules courses assume everyone learns the same way. We don't —
and that difference is everything.

01

Adapted Delivery — Not Mainstream

Every session is structured for anxiety, autism, ADHD, acquired brain injury, and cognitive processing differences. Graded exposure, visual supports, and flexible pacing built in from day one.

02

Capacity Building, Not Just a Test

Getting your L's is the outcome — but the real change is in confidence, decision-making, and independence. We build functional capacity that extends well beyond the licence itself.

03

NDIS Funding Supported

Covered under Capacity Building — Innovative Community Participation (09_008_0116_6_3) when linked to independence, employment, or community participation goals in your NDIS plan.

How NDIS Funding Works for This Program

Get My L's sits under Capacity Building — Increased Social & Community Participation. It applies when your licence goal connects to independence, employment readiness, or community access. We provide a complete evidence pack to make the approval process straightforward for your Support Coordinator or Plan Manager.
